Tom has accumulated some forty years of leadership scar tissue in the public and private sectors; spanning defence, security, intelligence and science & technology. As the CEO at the Port of Milford Haven he focuses primarily on energy shipping, but also property, hospitality and tourism, and renewables.

His driving personal mission is to deliver prosperity for Wales. His passions centre on environmental and social impact initiatives, and on the resilience of future generations. Tom describes his current job as ‘the best job he’s ever had, and the only job he ever wants’, sitting as it does at the nexus between communities, the environment and industry.

Tom undertakes a range of additional part-time roles: Board of Governors at Pembrokeshire College, Chair of the British Ports Association (BPA) Welsh Ports Group, Vice Chair of the BPA, Director of the Celtic Freeport Company.
