Paul became CEO at PD Ports in September 2026, having previously been COO and CTO after joining in 2020. His work centres on accelerating growth, optimising services for customers and driving transformational change with innovation, investment and expansion.

Paul held various roles at Formica Group, which he joined in 2001 spending 10 years in various financial roles globally, before relocating to Shanghai, China, to work on growth of the Asian business. In 2012, Paul was appointed Global CIO of the Group, before in 2015 becoming COO of Formica EMEA, where he helped navigate the turnaround of the European business.

Paul is a qualified accountant, holds a BA in Accountancy from Northumbria University and an Executive Masters from Durham University. He is a Trustee for the Percy Hedley Foundation, a £40m turnover charity that provides education and support for children & adults with special needs.
